REDUX: 3310
A beloved early-2000s icon, this classic mobile phone inspired us to create an updated interpretation, modernising its design and features and presenting them through a series of contemporary teaser images and animations. The result is a sleek visual study that repositions the device for today’s market, blending nostalgic familiarity with the polish and precision of modern product storytelling.
CONCEPT
For this project, we defined a speculative brief imagining Nokia relaunching the 3310 with a slimmer form factor and modernised feature set, while preserving the unmistakable design language of the iconic original.
The work was conceived as a series of refined teaser images and animations, positioned as early-stage launch assets intended to precede a full campaign rollout.
At the heart of the concept is a visual approach that balances modern product rendering with deliberate motion blur, where elements of the original 3310 and its modernised counterpart merge within the same frame. This treatment allows past and present to coexist, creating the impression of one device transitioning into the next and signalling evolution rather than reinvention.
Subtle sci-fi and space-inspired influences introduce a future-facing sensibility, framing the 3310 as a timeless icon projected forward, updated for a new generation.
