TABAC 28
An homage to our favourite scent around the studio, Le Labo’s Tabac 28. Smoky, seductive and alluring, Tabac 28 is part of Le Labo’s City Exclusives Collection, a selection of fragrances sold exclusively in their respective cities and unavailable elsewhere, online or in-store, outside of a limited annual release.
CONCEPT
For this project, we explored a brief conceived as part of a broader Le Labo City Exclusives campaign that would imagine a series of cinematic vignettes dedicated to each scent within the range.
The creative direction centres on motion as atmosphere, leaning into smooth, flame-like motion blurs to echo Tabac 28's rich and seductive character. The blurred motion becomes an extension of the scent, merging smoky visuals with an abstracted sense of desire and elegance. The result is a visual language designed to feel fleeting and intimate, as if the scent itself is passing through the frame.
To help anchor the piece within Le Labo’s raw, handcrafted brand language, we paired the visuals with custom-made black-and-white title sequences inspired by distressed 16mm film.
